Giuliano, Certified Guide by Feder Escursionismo Sicilia
I will accompany you on a hike to discover the Etna region. I chose to become a guide because of my love for nature, my deep respect for its habitats, and, above all, my desire to inform and inspire my guests about the importance of living in harmony with and being aware of the natural world around us.
I trained with the Feder Escursionismo Sicilia association as a G.A.E. (Environmental Hiking Guide) and am interested in Volcanology and Natural Sciences, always striving to stay updated on the latest developments in these fields. I speak English fluently and, over the past eight years, I have led thousands of tourists from all over the world on hikes. In 2024, through GAL Etna Sud, I received European funding, which allowed me to start my small business, Etnarise.

I manage the financial aspects and public relations. Together with my brother, we founded this project to give value to our land and show visitors the beauty that surrounds us. The harmony derived from contact with nature has always been a source of physical and, most importantly, psychological well-being for me. The idea of offering small moments of peace and respite to as many people as possible is what convinced me to be part of this adventure.
I trained as a psychologist and obtained a master’s degree in human resources management. Thanks to my main job as a recruiter, I am in direct contact with the island’s residents and the businesses scattered across it, experiencing daily the challenges and joys related to Sicily. In 2024, with the foundation of Etnarise, we created a network of collaboration with other tourism initiatives in the area to offer unique experiences that respect the principles of Slow Tourism.
